THE KITCHEN
Self-catering
Our guests at Jungle Cabins El Escondido have access to a fully equipped kitchen, alongside alfresco dining facilities on the large covered veranda. The kitchen facilities include an oven and hob, fridge-freezer, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. We also provide some cooking basics including herbs, spices and oil.
As well as the main kitchen, you will have access to the pizza oven, BBQ, and the campfire which are all nearby.
There is a small shop 800m from the finca where you can buy food and drink supplies, and many other shops and a market in the centre of Muy Muy.
Home-cooked meals prepared for you
If you would prefer the team at Jungle Cabins El Escondido to provide your meals, our cook Idalia can prepare breakfast, lunch or dinner for you. Meals should be ordered 24 hours in advance.
Refreshments (beers or sodas) are available to purchase at our reception.
THE RECEPTION
Our large reception area provides an additional place for guests to chill out in the wonderful jungle surroundings of the finca. Here you will find hammocks, seating areas and a large table with bench seating. You will be able to access free Wifi in the reception space.
Maps, directions and information about our amazing local hikes are all available in the reception. Here you will also find books about the birds and wildlife at the finca and other useful information. If you like games, we have lots of board games, Giant Jenga and Shuffleboard for you to enjoy.
THE SOLAR AND BUSH SHOWERS
All our cabins and the treehouse have their own private shower. As you would expect in the jungle, we mainly have cold water showers – these are great for cooling off in the Nicaraguan heat. For our guests who would enjoy hot water, we have a solar powered shower for you.
For those of you who wish to really embrace nature and the beautiful surroundings of the jungle, why not try our bush shower. This outdoor shower in the jungle will leave you feeling at one with nature and totally revitalised!
THE PIZZA OVEN
Light the fire and bake your own pizza.

Barbecuing is also possible.
THE BONFIRE
You can build a campfire. It’s always nice to sit around the fire. We also have a pot that can be hung over it.
